I just heard about John Watson's passing nearly 3 years ago, I was at Starhurst School between 1978-1982 and he was a great teacher for as long as I knew him. He will be sadly missed by everyone who was at the school, this is very sad news and my thoughts are with him and his lovely family god bless everyone. From Garry (Egan) Vale

The memorial plaque at The Stadium of Light at Sunderland Football Club will always remind us of John whenever Sunderland play on the TV.
