Gerard PaulWEARDENMembers of his family are very sad to announce that Gerard passed away on Friday 11th January 2019 at the age of 60. He died peacefully at home in Austria after a long illness. Gerard was the youngest son of the late Jack and Agnes Wearden, dearly-loved husband of Elisabeth, cherished brother of Rita, Pat and Peter and caring uncle of Lucy, Kate, Matthew, Robert, Joe, Alice and Jake. He was brought up in Accrington and attended St Mary's College in Blackburn before studying at the London School of Economics and teaching in England, Germany and Austria. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his family and many international friends and former pupils.
