Will be very sadly missed by all his family and friends. Donations in memory of Sidney are welcomed for The British Heart Foundation.

My condolences for all Sidney's family's loss, but what a magnificent life he led and his brain was totally functional and multilingual until the end. You must all be so proud of him!

So grateful for the excellent way Sidney Whitaker took care of his PGCE students (TESL) year 1977-1978 and undoubtedly all the other years too. I was moved to be put back in touch in 2021 by Desmond Burton, fellow-student who had suddenly tracked me down.
