FrancesWICKENSFrance Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Wickens, of Mill Lodge, Great Harwood, died on Tuesday, March 22, aged 90. Betty worked at Clemestiga Printers of Great Harwood, and later at various mills. She was a former member of the WI, and an avid knitter who liked to craft. Wife of the late John Billington Wickens, sister of the late Arnold Lord and Dick Lord, and mother of the late John Wickens, she leaves sister Winnie Bridges, and was an aunty to many, who will be sadly missed. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 6, at 11am at Accrington Crematorium, leaving Great Harwood at 10.30am, led by Father Farrell. Family flowers only; donations if desired to the British Heart Foundation. Funeral director: Great Harwood Funeral Service, Great Harwood.
