GeorgeWIGNALLIn Loving Memory of George Wignall, who suddenly, but peacefully, fell asleep on 16th February 2026 aged 63.

Forever Joyce's husband and soulmate, proud and loving Dad to Luke, Robyn and Sasha and a devoted brother to Susan. A much-loved Stepfather, Grandad and Brother-in-law and a loyal friend to so many.

Known as 'George the Barber', he had his barber shop in Bangor for many years. He thought of his customers as his friends, always making sure they left his shop 'looking like a film star'.

His hobbies were many, including fishing, going to the gym, spending time at the allotment and his long standing love of Northern Soul, as well as being a lifelong collector of "just in case" items, and, at times, an accidental pyrotechnician.

His love of travel took him all over the world, where, alongside Joyce, he collected memories of every place they visited. But equally, he loved exploring what the UK had to offer, in his camper, with the best of friends and a few cans of cider.

George was always at his happiest surrounded by his family and close friends, and he will never be forgotten and will be forever in our hearts.

A funeral service to celebrate George's life will be held at Bangor Cathedral on Monday 23rd March 2026 at 2pm followed by private committal at Bangor Crematorium.

Family flowers only, donations in memory of George would be gratefully received towards Cybi Ward, Ysbyty Gwynedd.
