Joan – the Loveliest of Aunts you could ever wish for was our dearest Aunty Joan! The loveliest sister too to my mum Jean I must add for nigh on 90 years!! Many a happy memory to cherish - be it from family Christmas parties and gatherings in Derby, to holiday meet-ups from Cornwall to Canada, to Aunty Joan – Taxi rides to Allestree fishing lakes or Willington canal when growing up, to indelible memories of being chased around the back garden Joan scissors waving for haircuts (when we were aged 5 or so), and more – so many memories to fondly reminisce on. Such an engaging smile, mischievous laugh, just the right encouraging or funny word to fit the moment, and always a kind light to all. So much to miss, but equally much to fondly remember and smile about. And be reassured that such Joan qualities live on through her close family.
With love, gratitude and prayers at this time, Michael & family XX
