Son of Leyshon and Doris, brother of David and Enid, husband of Jean, father of Richard and grandfather of Nicholas. Lecturer and Head of Department of Maths, Science and Crafts, Merthyr College 1954-87. Part-time Open University Counsellor and Tutor in Maths and Technology 1969-97. Later, published poet and historical novelist. Beloved of his family and his former near neighbours in Alexandra Avenue, hugely respected by his students and colleagues.
