MichaelWILSONSadly gone, never forgotten.

Zena and family would like to express their thanks and gratitude for all the warm condolences they have received.

With special thanks for dedicated care and support provided by the Community McMillan Nursing Team, District Nurses, Fiona, Lindsay Lodge Hospice, the Oncology Team and Amethyst Unit at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Occupational Therapist Team, Sir John Mason House, Jason Threadgold Funeral Services and Flower Theatre.

A heartfelt thanks also goes out to all the kind people who helped Mick on the day he fell in Ashby, the day of an ambulance strike and the community/shoppers were utterly attentive and provided excellent support.

The turn out for Mick’s celebration of life was overwhelming and truly represented Mick’s wishes and personality, big thanks to Enid and Ann and Paul the bagpiper for making his wishes a reality.

Much appreciation goes to Ginger Beard Catering Co. of Barnetby for the excellent buffet, Alison for her help with the Church and Church Hall, Rachael, Helen and Jim for making the many teas and coffees after the service.

Generous donations of over £600 have been made to Lindsay Lodge Hospice to provide patients with Google Dots/Alexas; another wish of Mick’s.

Laughter and smiles. The most amazing conversations that came from his knowledge and expertise from being on many committees and council. He did so much for the village over many many years and was always there to help and support people and if he didn’t have the answer, he would find it out for them. He especially felt for the people who couldn’t stand up for themselves. Thank you for the memories. Love from Jane.
