Dear Gran, you meant so much to me. I hope you knew that. I have never met someone so generous; anything I expressed even a slightest pleasure towards would be shoved into my hands without a second thought, whether it be a trinket, a chocolate, a book. I loved your trinkets, especially the glass snowdrops and silver donkey, who patrolled around the little bunnies on your display. Looking back at home videos always makes my heart throb, particularly the American memories, where to me and my siblings you were both a playmate and a guardian. You were surrounded by love, and you exuded it boundlessly. I see you in myself, both in pictures and in temperament. This is the way I will remember you: as a part of me. I miss you, and I love you.
Olivia.
