HerbertWITHERINGTON(Cumbria). Threlkeld. Formerly of Whitburn, Sunderland. Peacefully on Sunday 28th February, aged 93 years, dearly loved husband of 68 years to Eileen, a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Known to many as shipowner, Methodist local preacher, cricketer, artist and long-distance walker. His was a life of service to others. Friends are invited to the Funeral Service at St. Mary's Church, Threlkeld, Cumbria on Monday 14th March at 12.00noon. All colours to be worn please.
