Christine GlenysWRIGHTIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Glenys Wright (née Smith, formerly Darby), of Blackheath, who passed away peacefully on 5th March 2026, aged 83, with her Daughter Lorraine by her side.
Christine will be remembered with great love and affection by all who knew her fierce independence, generous nature and wicked sense of humour. She was a much-loved Mother, Grandmother, and friend to many, whose warmth, strength and presence meant so much to those around her. Her kindness and love will never be forgotten.
Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Our family take comfort in knowing she passed peacefully, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, pearls of wisdom, and treasured memories that will live on.
Christine's funeral will be held on Tuesday 31st March 2026 at 2.30pm at Rowley Regis Crematorium, Powke Lane, B65 0AD. A Celebration of Life will take place afterwards at Blackheath Liberal Club, 51 John Street, B65 0EP.
We request family flowers only, however donations in memory of Christine may be made to The British Heart Foundation.
Our family would be honoured to welcome all that knew Christine to her memorial celebrations. A lady who will be forever cherished, and impossible to forget.
