As well as being my in-law’s neighbour, Janet was my midwife when I was expecting my first baby.
We shared a love of theatre, and I saw many of the shows that she was involved with, at the Concordia, Wolvey Village Hall, and later at the Abbey Theatre. Janet and Katherine kindly travelled to Derby, to watch some of the shows that I was involved in.
Janet encouraged me to start writing pantomime scripts, and she was so helpful and enthusiastic, that I had to have a go. I’ve now had twelve scripts published, and it’s definitely down to Janet’s positivity and encouragement.
Her bright smile, enthusiasm and zest for life will definitely be missed.

I've known Janet for many years. We first met when I was a student midwife in the 1980s and continued with our friendship through the merry midwives of nuneaton song and dance troupe.
Janet had an infectious smile and laugh. She was a stickler for getting things right and pushed the merry midwives to achieve the very best. We will miss her knowledge and expertise of all things theatre. But, Janet we promise you our next performance will be dedicated to you and we won't let you down.
Rest in peace lovely lady xx

What a lovely lady she was, always smiling. What a great picture of her it really reflects how she was,a ray of sunshine. First met Janet when I started my midwifery training back in 1992 and she was such an inspiration and a lovely lady. Will miss her at the merry midwife’s. Rest in peace Karen Sherriff
