Martin JohnYATESof Sandown Road, Haslingden, Rossendale, passed away on September 1 at East Lancs Hospice after a long battle with cancer. He was aged 82 years.

He was a retired civil engineer/construction manager and successfully ran his own business for 20 years.

Martin was a keen walker, he especially loved Scotland, photography, gardening and reading, all kept him busy. He was a member of Irwell Vale Camera Club and ex-member of Accrington Camera Club as secretary, he was also a member of I.C.P.A.

Much-loved husband of Anne, father to Mark and Neil, grandad to Amy, Tom, Olivia and Lewis and his lovely daughters-in-law Lindsey and Ruth. Martin was very proud and devoted to his family.

A service will be held on September 17 at Accrington Crematorium at 1.40pm, conducted by Andrea Robinson and mourners will gather after at Rossendale Golf Club - all welcome.
