VictorYOUNGpassed away peacefully at Friar Court on the May 9, aged 77 years. Dearly loved dad to Victoria, Tracey, Wendy, Bobbie-Joe and Donna, cherished grandad and great-grandad, a much loved brother to Carol, the late Alan, Pat and Kathleen also a dear friend to many. Victor spent most of his working life in the roofing industry, along with many happy customers he made lifelong friends. When Victor wasn’t working he loved to socialise with a good beer in one hand and a fag in the other. Every morning Victor would set off on his travels to arrive at Costa Coffee in Accrington and he really enjoyed visiting Sense, he loved to find a good bargain, his home was filled with furniture and ornaments. Plenty of happy memories were made on his beloved barge “Victory”, he started off moored in Skipton before coming back to Clayton and then his final place in Altham. Victor was also an avid supporter of Manchester United and partial to a good Wildlife documentary. He will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. Victor’s funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Friday, May 19 at 11.40am, please feel free to wear a touch of orange as this was Victor’s favourite colour.
