Dear Robert and John and family.
Helen and I are sad to learn of the passing on of your dad and send our condolences to you all at this difficult time.

I was a fellow student in Town Planning with Graham in Liverpool.
I remember when we were doing a project up in the Ceriog Valley during the first year that he and I interviewed an old head master at a junior school, who managed to set his coat on fire while we talked with him, either with an electric heater or his pipe. But for giving us his time he asked Graham if he'd stand in the school yard with a football - then promptly introduced him to the children as Gordon Banks (the England goalkeeper) and it made their day - it made ours too!
We often competed at table football and enjoyed his humour, playful banter and unique smile.

In our fourth year Graham joined four of us in shared lodgings, so from that point on we got to know him much better. At that time, Graham had recently come to faith in Jesus and he was one who helped me to come to faith the following year.
He always seemed to be seeking understanding and searching out the deeper things of life. So, when he and Jenny came together, with her insight and clear thinking, it seemed like a marriage made in heaven. A very special couple.
Although I have not kept in touch with him since then - I will always treasure those precious times spent in his company.

I'm sorry that circumstance has meant we're not able to be with you at the funeral.

God bless you Graham.
