It is with great sadness that we announce that Michael passed away peacefully at home on 4th January 2026, surrounded by his family.

A very much loved husband of Malcolm, and dear son of Doreen and the late Ronald.

A Requiem Mass will be held at St.Elizabeth's R.C.Church, Minsteracres, on Tuesday 20th January at 12.30pm prior to interment in the cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations for St.Oswald's Hospice may be given at church or sent c/o
1 Kepier Chare, Crawcrook, Ryton, NE40 4TS.

As parish priest, Father Michael was a great support to me when I cared for my father and after his death. I am sorry that I am unable to attend his funeral, but send my deepest sympathy, love and prayers to Doreen, Malcolm and all his family.

Words cannot begin to express the sadness that I feel at the passing of my very oldest friend. I have so many happy memories to look back on that Michael will live in my heart forever. Sincere condolences to Malcolm and Doreen. RIP dear friend.
