Established in 1851, the Coggles family have served the community through five generations. The business is currently headed up by John Coggles continuing into the future with the help of Johns’ children David, Helen and George. Between us we provide a level of service, care and dignity that is to be expected from a company with such a proud history.
Our Offices are located in Kings Lynn, Downham Market & Wisbech, but we are willing and able to serve families on a much wider scale. If preferred, appointments can be made for our director to visit you at home, to make arrangements.
History
The original business was first established in the village of Pentney, working from a wheelwrights work shop, serving the surrounding villages. Upon leaving school and completing an apprenticeship in carpentry, John decided to enter into the family business in 1980. It was at this time the decision was made to open an office in Kings Lynn, situated then in Norfolk Street. Expansion into Downham Market took place with an office conveniently placed in Bridge Street. To improve our facilities we have twice moved premises in Kings Lynn, firstly moving to 44 London Road in 2002 and in 2013 we completed our move to our current premises at 1 Blackfriars Street, King’s Lynn. In January 2016 we opened our newest branch in Wisbech at 67 Lynn Road, Wisbech. As there was no family Funeral Director in the town, we felt that the Coggles family could offer this service to the town and surrounding villages.
